Auckland 28 & 29 September

Stay at Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour, Saturday & Sunday night

Saturday evening

Welcome cocktails in The Cellar (Sofitel)

Welcome dinner at Ostro waterfront restaurant

Sunday Waiheke Island (11.30am-5pm)

Sightseeing on Waiheke Island*, visit boutique wineries, wine tastings and lunch.

Dinner is at own leisure back in the city.

Monday 09.30am: drive to Rotorua (3hrs), home of Maori culture

Casual lunch on the way.

Afternoon: Discover Maori culture, architecture, and geothermal parks at Te Puia

Traditional performance & dinner show by authentic Tamaki Maori people

Overnight in Holiday Inn Rotorua (1 night)

Tuesday 09.30am: drive to Hawke’s Bay

Drive 1 hr and visit to Huka Falls. Lunch at Lake Taupo.

Drive 2 hrs to Hawke’s Bay

Overnight at Porters Hotel, 2 nights

Dinner with Sileni winery team at Deliciosa wine & tapas

Wednesday: Hawke’s Bay Wine Tour

Start 09.30am: Sightseeing in Hawke’s Bay, Tour of Sileni Estates, wine tasting

Late light lunch at Te Awa winery restaurant

Wednesday dinner

Wine Dinner at Craggy Range winery, Hawke’s Bay

Thursday: Hawke’s Bay to Wellington

Early morning walk/hike to Te Mata Peak (for the early risers)

10am: Drive to Wellington (4 hrs), stop halfway for lunch in the Martinborough Hotel

Casual Dinner in town (TBC) Stay 1 night in the QT hotel

Friday: From Wellington to Blenheim, Marlborough

Take the 9am ferry to Picton, arrive in Blenheim around 1pm (can be bumpy depending on weather conditions). Luxury lounge with brunch facility.

1pm: Arrive in Marlborough for a tour and wine tasting at Nautilus winery.

Relax before dinner or explore Blenheim at own leisure

Friday: Blenheim, Marlborough

Check-in to the Scenic hotel and relax till dinner

Degustation wine dinner at Arbour restaurant.

Tuesday – Otago

Morning visit to Felton Road winery, tour & tasting

Tuesday evening, bye bye drinks, wine bar crawl

Wednesday – Otago

Breakfast, end of trip.

Stay on or depart. Fly back to Auckland or Christchurch to connect to international flights.


  • žInternal flights with Air New Zealand allow maximum 23kg of checked-in luggage per passenger. Anymore weight than 23kg must be packed in a separate bag of max 23kg and cost Baht 900 per bag per flight when purchased in advance. When purchased at the airport the cost is Baht 1800 per bag.
  • Participants should arrange their own international flights to Auckland and from Queenstown back home.
