However sceptical you are if you are in a relationship and Valentine’s day is just another day in the week you will be disappointed. If you’re not in a relationship and you receive a valentines day card your week will suddenly feel brighter. At The 9th Floor we provide the platform for a fantastic Valentine’s night out with the ultimate degustation dinner.
We started with an Amuse Bouche. In English, this translates to mouth amuser. We’ll surprise you with some bite size hors d’oeuvres to start the evening off where your palette is sure to be delighted. We’ll then be serving fresh burrata with jamon iberico and vine-ripened tomatoes. Burrata is a fresh Italian buffalo milk cheese made from mozzarella and cream. The outer shell is solid mozzarella, while the inside contains stracciatella and cream. It has an unusual texture which makes it interesting and different to eat.
By now you should have settled in to the evening and looking forward to the next course. Duck confit and duck terrine with cranberries and served with a Chilean Pinot Noir is sure to delight. And now the main event of our 72 hour slow cooked Angus beef short rib with pommes galette, confit of bell pepper and thyme onions.
To finish it is passionfruit cheesecake, strawberries and blueberries.
A special menu for those of you who love to romance.
